THE PERALTA COLLEGES
The Peralta Colleges Foundation serves more than 30,000 students who annually attend classes at one or more of our colleges. All four colleges offer Certificates and Associate of Arts Degrees in a wide range of programs, as well as prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Some of the specifici programs offered at each college include:

The College of Alameda’s emphasis is on Automotive Technology, Aviation Maintenance, Diesel Mechanics, Apparel Design, and Dental Assistance. The campus also houses the new Alameda Science and Technical Institute High School and the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board Career Center.

Located in a new building in downtown Berkeley, Berkeley City College’s offerings emphasize International Trade, the Travel Industry, American Sign Language, and Multimedia Arts.

Located in downtown Oakland, Laney’s focus is the Performing Arts, Business, Wood Technology and Construction, Graphic Arts, Media Communications and Journalism, Culinary Arts, and Cosmetology. The campus is also affiliated with Met West High School, an innovative Oakland Unified School District school.

Situated in the Oakland Hills, Merritt offers core programs in Nursing and Allied Health professions, as well as in Landscape Horticulture, Child Development, Legal Services, Real Estate, Fire Science, and Environmental Studies. Merritt Middle College High School and the Merritt Career Center are also located on the campus.
