Educating for Change Scholarship

The Educating for Change Scholarship, offered by the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC), $500 in financial support to eligible California community college students who have a parent currently incarcerated in a prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

The Peralta Colleges Foundation is helping Peralta students access this opportunity by collecting applications, verifying eligibility, and submitting eligible applicants to FoundationCCC for consideration.

Scholarships are funded and awarded by FoundationCCC on a first-come, first-served basis while funds remain available. Submission of an application to the Peralta Colleges Foundation does not guarantee an award.

Peralta Application Deadline: September 24, 2026

Apply as early as possible. Because funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, the Peralta Colleges Foundation will review and submit eligible applications on a rolling basis.
